Big Dave
Big Dave is the almost award winning media mogul behind the almost award winning Big Dave and Company Blog and Podcast. He was born the son of two people at a friendly local hospital, before attending the finest public schools that his community taxes and state education funding formula could provide. With a résumé longer than a late-night McDonald's worker's rap sheet, and degrees in fields that you would never believe are academic disciplines, Big Dave is truly a riddle wrapped in an enigma wrapped in turkey bacon. When he is not flogging the Unpaid Interns, he enjoys flying the corporate jet to the corporate yacht, seal hunting with the Canadian Clubber, and leading morning calisthenic exercises for the workers at the Kim Jong Il Metal Foundry, the glorious supreme leader of all metal foundries, in Pyongyang, North Korea, of which he is the proud owner.
Mike-a-licious
Mike-a-licious is the unpaid Technical Producer, Executive Producer and co-host of the Big Dave and Company Podcast. Never allowed on the corporate jet or yacht, and continually slighted by Big Dave's siphoning of proceeds from corporate accounts, Mike-a-licious nevertheless is able to produce a top-notch, professional product out of the dribble that Big Dave spews every week. Born in the most united of the United States, Mike-a-licious holds a degree from every university that has the word "Tech" or "Technology" in its name - including but not limited to Virginia Tech, ITT Tech, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology - and has been kicked out of every Westminster Dog Show since 1986. In his spare time, he has been the junior senator from Oregon, United States Assistant Ambassador to Austria, and a roadie for the band Gwar. When not technically producing things, Mike-a-licious enjoys long walks on the beach, but just below the water line so his feet get wet, writing his name in fresh cement, officiating roller derby, and ding dong ditching Morningwood Estate.
The Unpaid Interns
The Unpaid Interns are exactly what their name implies, a group of college students who are held hostage at the Worldwide Headquarters for nothing more than college credit and something to put on a résumé. Rotating out on a yearly basis, or whenever the authorities receive a call for help or note attached to a bird, the Unpaid Interns are the weak, arhythmic heartbeat of the The Big Dave and Company Podcast and Blog. They are currently chained up in their barracks deep underground below the Worldwide Headquarters where sunlight will never be able to penetrate and no one can hear them scream.
The Lovely Emily
Ahhh, The Lovely Emily. What can we say about her? No seriously, what can we say about her that won't get us sued for slander? Made out of the finest in non-corrugated cardboard, and sporting a revealing outfit and look that screams "Drink Mickey's," The Lovely Emily is the bewitching vixen of the show that is always driving the boys crazy. While both have made repeated attempts at dating and/or mating with her, she has never broken her silence and said yes to either of them. Reports that she briefly dated Steakknife, the former FCC overseer of the Big Dave and Company Podcast have never been able to be verified, and in the boys' mind at least are absolutely false. In reality, the Lovely Emily was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She had a twin brother named Doug and received a degree in large animal veterinary science from the University of Wisconsin. She enjoys silence, Mickey's beer, and gazing out the window seductively over her shoulder for hours at a time. She absolutely abhors cats, dogs, getting wet, and local recycling programs.
Sarah "Cumberbun" Tants
Cumberbun is the second in a line of lackeys that the FCC has sent to censor, regulate, and otherwise babysit the boys and all their shenanegans. A recent graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in Asian Pacific American Studies, which didn't prepare her at all for working at the FCC, and which didn't seem to matter to her overseers at the FCC. Regularly entertained by the boys and their tomfoolery, Cumberbun is often times the only thing that exists between the Podcast and complete and utter insanity, and she regularly fails to keep one from turning into the other. In her spare time, Cumberbun likes long walks on the beach, Italian food, and hot bubble baths, but only when each is taken with her cat, Mr. Hightowner McNoodles the Third.
Kona the Wonder Dog
A recent addition to the Big Dave and Company Podcast group, Kona the Wonder Puppy can regularly be found lying under the table as the boys do the Podcast. She is a something/something mix we think, but we are not sure because nobody ever bothered to ask when she showed up at the Worldwide Headquarters. When not lying around the Gigbyte Systems Studio, the enjoys running, jumping, licking things, and trying to bite Big Dave on any part of his body she can reach. As she has grown, her hobbies have also grown to include chewing on bones and disobeying her masters, much like the Unpaid Interns.
The Royal Family
Patrons of the vast Morningwood Estate, the number one advertiser on the Big Dave and Company Podcast, the Royal Family cosists of Sir Jason, Lady Rebecca, Prince August and Princess Sarah. With lands that cover over eleventy billion acres, they are literally the definition of landed gentry. They are responsible for smacking Big Dave and Mike-a-licious down when they think they are big and forget who butters their bread. They are also the brains behind a number of fesivals and special promotions that help them keep a tight grip on Morningwood Estate, and an even tighter grip on anyone's money they can get their hands on.
The Canadian Clubber
The Canadian Clubber is both friend of the show and nemesis of the show. Ruler of all or part of Canada for all we know, the Clubber is best known as being the first person to ever e-mail the show and for absconding to the Great White North with Big Dave's precious kiddie wading pool and lawn chair.
Brad in Nashville
Brad is Nashville is named Brad and lives in Nashville. Despite knowing nothing more about him than that, the Boys awarded his as #1 at one point. He won a contest to get a book, and has actually bought things from the Big Dave and Company Store, which is more than we can say for the rest of you. Oh, and he has made his daughter into the youngest member of the Company in the history of ever.
Matt in Madison
Matt in Madison is named Matt and lives in Madison. He is also Brad in Nashville's brother. They have had a pretty nasty spat over #1 fandom - among other things - and his open love for the Boys on the Facebook has led him to also be the #1 fan at one point.
Dr. J
Dr. J is a doctor of love, and a regular visitor to the Big Dave and Company Podcast. Whenever he visits the Worldwide Headquarters a strange bubbling sound is heard all throughout the Gigabyte Systems Studios and Boys end up giggling a lot. But they always have a great time when Dr. J starts handing out his special prescriptions, and the Boys love to hear his stories about life and love.
Pins McGee
Poor Pins McGee is the man charged with transforming Big Dave into a respectable bowler, and so far it hasn't worked. When asked what Big Dave's biggest problem as a bowler is, he responded "He usually fails to get all ten pins down in the two alloted throws." And Pins should know, as he is a professional bowler on the Taiwanese 13-Pin circuit in addition to winning a couple of tournaments down in the city. A professional alcoholic in the offseason, he continues to work with Big Dave as if his reputation is at stake, mostly because it is. Big Dave knows a lot of people heavily involved in Taiwanese bowling.
