Don't Freak Out, Man

Tomorrow, a lot of you are going to flip on your Dell Inspiron or your HP Pavilion or whatever you are using and you are going to load your Internet browser and it's going to take you to your home page.  I assume that your home page is Big Dave and Company.  And you are going to see this post.  And that's going to happen on Saturday, and Sunday, and probably Monday.  Don't freak out when this happens.  Seriously.  Don't FREAK OUT, man.  Just relax.  Have a glass of lemonade, maybe watch some Spongebob.  If you need your fix go through The Filing Cabinet like I did yesterday and read some of the old stuff.  It will be like a clip show that YOU produced.  Wouldn't that be fun!?
I don't want you to get all up in arms about this.  I am just taking a little vacation.  I have done this before, but usually you don't know about it.  I will work my behind off to write a whole bunch of posts in advance (yes, I do that sometimes) and then you will still get a new one every day.  But you know what?  I am not doing that this time.  Not at all.  I am just taking the whole weekend off, and since I very obviously have phoned this post in, I guess I have already started. For one, I didn't have the time or energy to write two posts a day all week, and I wasn't about to let one of the unpaid interns write anything.  Second, I realized that there is nothing wrong with taking a weekend off.  Millions of Americans do it ever weekend, so why can't I?  I am not slacking off.  I am not abandoning you.  I will be back, as strong as ever not on Monday morning but on Monday evening to be sure.
What am I going to do on my vacation?  Nothing much.  Travel from place to place, town to town, ambling throughout the countryside.  Oh, and I will probably be leaving a trail of death and destruction in my wake.  That's about par for the course.  So stay out of my way, you head?  I am just kidding.  Hopefully no death and no destruction.  But you never know.  A Big Dave vacation is magical like no other.  Think of it more like the Big Dave and Company Live Roadshow.  It's always a big event.  And this weekend will be no exception.  So by the time Monday rolls around I will ready to be back to you and you will be ready to be back to me.  Because absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?  I hope so.

Oh, for the love of all that's holy! Why Dave? WHY? I'm taking this personal man. You are SO dead to me.
